| To contact Tony
e-mail tony@rockycamera.com
I check my e-mails far too often, so I'll be reading it soon enough. The speed in which I get back to you will only be predicated on if I'm working or hiking at the time, but I will respond to every (non-spam) e-mail I receive.
Photo Philosophy
I'm pretty sure I do have one. At the least, I know each photographer has a certain sensibility when taking photos. More often than not I can look at photos and tell if I or someone else at the newspaper that I work at have taken it. I want to write it down, this philosophy, but I'm going to have to think about it a little bit.
Bio
My name is Tony J. Wedick. I was stolen from my family by a band of Lower Smirkavian gypsies, who then placed me in the family of wolves (because, well, that's what you do, innit?) who raised me as their own. This being a family of Lower Smirkavian wolves, this meant my developing an insatiable appetite for deep dish stuffed pizzas. Lower Smirkavian wolves LOVE pizza. And fiddle music. Growing to adulthood long after my wolven brethren, I traveled around the world in a hot air balloon...
No, that's not it. I'm going to have to write up my bio.
(I have this huge list of things I have to do for this web site, and it never seems to get much shorter.)
Take two.
My name is Tony J. Wedick. It's not completly untrue that the J stands for Jehosophat. No, it's not completely untrue that it stands for Danger, the J being not just silent but invisible as well. I have been many things over my life, graphic designer, store manager, ninja, photographer, assasin, marmot wrangler, Lower Smirkavian not-so-secret agent (everyone knew who I was), teen heart-throb, octogenarian heart-throb, lover, poet, writer, thief.
No, wait.
Take three...

Links
eptrail.com
This is the newspaper I work at, the Estes Park Trail-Gazette, situated in Estes Park, right outside Rocky Mountain National Park. I'm the production manager, one of the graphic designers and the web guy for the website.
eptrail.com features the top stories from each issue--news, features, community, sports-- as well as obituaries and datebook. Previous issues are included in the archives. For the visitor to the area, be sure to download a pdf copy of the Trail's Vacation Edition.
estes-park-information.com
Just starting up, this website gives you the scoop on Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park from an insider's perspective. Moving beyond the simple facts and figures, it gives honest opinions from someone who has been there and is here.
nps.gov/romo/
Rocky Mountain National Park's official website. It's unfortunately a bit sparce in comparison to some other national parks, Yellowstone for one. Still, here it is.
nps.gov/yell/
Yellowstone National Park's official website. Has a lot of auxillary websites that fills it out, notably a fine selection of webcams.
facts-about-chocolate.com
Yes, technically there's very little here in connection to photos about the Rocky Mountain National Park area, but it's definitely worth a visit, as there's few if any websites out there with such a breadth of information about the history, manufacture and types of chocolate as well as ever-growing reviews on various brands of chocolate, books on chocolate, movies about chocoloate and more. And, umm, chocolate is one of my favorite foods to bring along on my hikes into the park during which I take my photos. So, there you go.
poppyspizzaandgrill.com
And when in Estes Park, be sure to visit Poppy's Pizza and Grill, on Elkhorn Avenue in Barlow Plaza. Tell them Tony sent you.
